Now, this remarkable guide by George Bumann reveals what our ancestors knew long ago—that tuning in to the owl in the tree, the deer in the gully, can tell us important information and help us feel connected to our wild community.

Yellowstone trip planning Jenny Golding and George Bumann

Hey there!

We are George Bumann and Jenny Golding, founders of A Yellowstone Life and the Eavesdropping on Wild Conversations online course.  We've been studying and sharing nature with others for more than 30 years and make it our mission to help people connect more deeply to nature and wildlife.

We believe that living a life deeply connected to wild creatures and natural settings makes us more healthy, happy, productive and creative people. Yellowstone is our window into this way of life, but you can live a "wild" life wherever you are and our mission is to show you how.

Jenny is the wizard behind the scenes of our social media stories, website, and blog, and is co-producer of the Eavesdropping on Wild Conversations online course. After 20 years directing education and conservation programs for nonprofits she now creates stories about Yellowstone and natural history topics as a writer, photographer, and digital storyteller.

George has been a lifelong observer of nature, a researcher, guide, artist, and educator. After completing a M.S. in Wildlife Ecology, the last 20 years have been spent here in Yellowstone, where he has helped over 10,000 people experience the wonders of animal language to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of the natural world. His wildlife sculptures are collected around the world.

Through free resources like this guide, our blog, Facebook page, YouTube channel and Eavesdropping on Wild Conversations course, George shares his lifetime of wildlife study with you.

We are so excited to share the fascinating world of animal language!
