And the seasons roll on… the sun makes its inexorable journey across the horizon and we do our best to recognize its travels. The “Sunrise Project” is one that was done at our first home in ‘inner city’ Gardiner several years ago—in short, making a point to take a photo of the sun breaking the horizon one day each month from the summer solstice through the winter solstice. A bit like our own Chanquillo (a 4th century BC, Peruvian solar observatory), it’s the first time we’ve made the effort at our ‘home place’ and a way to feel more connected to this spot and amid the passage of time.
