What will your bucket-list Yellowstone family trip be like?
Yellowstone may be known for its wild animals, geysers, and stunning scenery, but planning a trip can be overwhelming, and let's face it: parents and kids don't always agree on what makes a fun experience.
Plus, every summer, millions of people converge on the park where they race from one iconic feature to the next on congested boardwalks and wait in extended bison jams. Parents often want to make sure the family gets to 'see and do everything', whereas kids are much more 'in the moment'.
All told, visiting Yellowstone as a family can seem overwhelming. How do you fit all the good things in and keep everyone happy while at the same time not missing the best that the park has to offer?
Imagine if you had the inside scoop on:
- Really cool facts about Yellowstone
- Fun things to do and see that both kids and adults will enjoy
- Tips for things you'll want to be prepared for, including how to pack and things NOT to do
- How to avoid the things that make make your visit to Yellowstone a lot less awesome
- Detailed pointers for the best things to do in specific areas of the park
- And of course the best places to find ICE CREAM!
Hang out with me and I'll show you my insider's view of Yellowstone.

Oh hey, I'm George.
I was born and raised in Gardiner, Montana at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, where I've had to learn how to tell a coyote from a wolf, a black bear from a grizzly, and how to dodge bison, elk, and occasionally bears on the school ball field.
I've spent A LOT of time wildlife watching, hiking, visiting thermal features, and traveling over land and water in the backcountry of Yellowstone with my parents, and definitely have my own opinions about what makes Yellowstone fun and interesting!
I'm looking forward to sharing Yellowstone from a kid's perspective with you. And don't worry, in addition to a lot of cool facts and tips to help you have a great visit to Yellowstone, I make sure to include the really good stuff - like the best places to find ice cream.
